MAM to Host First Ever Manufacturing for Women Conference in Independence, MO Stoney Creek Hotel & Conference Center to host Sept 24-25 INDEPENDENCE, MO - The Missouri Association of Manufacturers (MAM) is bringing its inaugural Manufacturing for Women Conference to the Stoney Creek Hotel & Conference Center in Independence, Missouri on Tuesday, September 24. This event is part of MAM’s two (2) pre-events leading into the 16th Annual Missouri Manufacturing Summit on September 25. Starting off with a motivational Keynote presentation over gender inclusion and how her personal tragedy became her superpower, Melissa Sassi - Startup Program Manager with IBM will discuss "Overcoming the Impostor Syndrome" and her ten-point plan for banishing those internal doubts about your accomplishments. Next on the agenda will be an all-female panel from Northrop Grumman discussing the barriers they've faced in the industry and how it has generated new opportunities for them. Panelists to include Angela Agee – Factory Operations Manager, Bonnie Gorman – Programs Director, Becky Hyde – Senior Principle Safety Engineer, and Betsy White – Program Manager. Finishing off the conference will be Kim Inman, CEO & President of the Missouri Association of Manufacturers, as she leads an interactive round-table discussion on pivoting to success. The Made in Missouri Leadership Awards Pre-Event Celebration (September 24), Manufacturing for Women Pre-Event Conference (September 24) and 16th Annual Missouri Manufacturing Summit (September 25) are open to the public.
